What to set
Favicon
A small square image, usually 32×32 or 64×64 px, shown in browser tabs next to your page title.
Website title
The name in browser tabs and the title used by search engines. Keep it clear and descriptive.
Website description
The summary shown with your page in search results. Keep it concise and specific.
Share image (OG image)
The image shown when your link is shared on social media. A 1200×630 px image works well.
Save and publish
SEO changes save automatically. Publish the site when you want the updates to appear publicly. It’s worth setting your title, description, and share image before you first go live, so your site looks polished
the moment it’s shared.
On a Next.js, Astro, or SvelteKit site, if your favicon or SEO settings don’t show up after publishing, ask your
coding agent to update Fimo and connect the settings to your site’s existing SEO code. Content pages also need their
route-specific values. Updating the package alone does not rewrite an existing site’s metadata.
Ask the agent to keep editable values connected to your settings and content, and to verify an edit on a test
copy of the site. A deliberate page rule, such as excluding an editorial page from search, can still override a default.
