Every project has one *.fimo.site URL. You can rename it for free. Connecting a domain you own needs an eligible plan.

Rename the Fimo URL

You can reserve the slug before the first publish. The URL starts serving the site after publication. To ask Fimo for available suggestions:
Review the suggestions before you claim one. Renaming changes the public address.

Connect a domain you own

Custom domains are available on Pay as you go, Pro, and Enterprise. A Free organization with no card on file cannot connect one, and every fimo domains command that touches a custom domain fails with a PAYWALL error until it can. Adding a card in Billing moves the organization to Pay as you go, which allows unlimited custom domains. Pay as you go has no monthly fee: you are charged only for usage beyond the included allowances. See plans at a glance and the pricing page.
After fimo domains add, copy every DNS record shown into your DNS provider. Run fimo domains refresh to check the domain’s latest verification and certificate status. Do not share the domain until fimo domains list reports it as active and the site has been published. To disconnect it:

Buy a domain through Fimo

Domain search and purchase commands are available only when domain purchasing is enabled for your organization. If the CLI reports that purchasing is unavailable, use a domain you already own instead. When available, check the price before you buy:
fimo domains buy asks for confirmation and creates a browser checkout. Registration starts after payment. Domain purchases can be non-refundable, so confirm the name and displayed price before continuing.
Connecting or buying a domain does not publish the site. Complete a production publish before you expect the domain to serve it.

Manage a domain you bought

A domain bought through Fimo belongs to your organization, not to one project, so it is managed from the organization’s Domains area rather than project settings. fimo domains owned lists the same domains from the CLI. Each domain shows its status — active, registering, awaiting payment, expiring soon, or expired — with its expiry date and renewal price. Open one to reach Manage settings: Choose Renew now to renew before the expiry date. Fimo shows the renewal period and price for review, then creates a checkout. A renewal that has not been paid can be cancelled, which voids its invoice. Use Transfer to another project to move a domain to a different project in the same organization. Fimo also offers the transfer when you try to use a domain that another project already holds.
ICANN requires registrant contact information for every domain registration, and that information appears in public WHOIS records unless privacy protection is on.
