We spent the last decade building infrastructure that made websites editable. AI fundamentally changed how websites are built, but not how they are operated after launch. We built Fimo to make the web autonomous by providing the infrastructure autonomous websites need, not simply another feature added to yesterday CMS.

Fimo is built by the founders of Strapi, who spent more than a decade building one of the world leading open-source CMSs before starting Fimo. The same focus on developer experience, openness, and ownership continues with Fimo.

Yes. Fimo is designed for websites built with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, but it also works with existing code-first websites. Rather than replacing your project, Fimo adds a content and autonomy layer on top of it.

No. If you got your site built with Claude Code or Cursor, you have already cleared the highest bar: running it with Fimo is easier than building it was. You edit content on the preview, by chat, or in the Content workspace, and agents handle the technical upkeep. And if developers do work on the site, they keep full ownership of the code; everyone else never has to touch it.

You do. Your website remains your code, in your repository. Fimo works on top of your existing project rather than replacing it with a proprietary builder, so you are never locked into a closed platform.

Safety is built into how Fimo works. Your site stays real code in your repository, every change is versioned and reversible, agents work in isolated environments that cannot touch production until a change is merged, and permissions are per person. Every agent change waits for your approval before it merges.

No. AI agents work in their own branches, and every run ends with a report, a preview, and a diff. A person reviews and merges, and a person publishes. When an agent needs a decision, it asks in the Inbox and waits.

No, Fimo is not open source. But the parts developers care about most, ownership and portability, still hold: your website stays real code in a repository you control, there is no proprietary builder and no lock-in, and you can move it elsewhere at any time. Fimo runs the layer above the code, and that code is always yours.
